Frankton Dental

Lia Dessy-Moore BDS, NZDREX Dental Surgeon

Lia joins us from Argentina, where she studied her Bachelor of Dental Surgery, tutoring in Biophysics and then working in general dental practice with her sister for 7 years, She also completed a 2 year Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Dentistry at the University of Buenos Aires in 2000 . The story might have ended there had she not met and fallen for her kiwi husband in Buenos Aires in 2003!

She moved and settled in Queenstown with him and sat the New Zealand Dental Registration Examinations, which enabled her to work as a dentist for us! With her relaxed style of treatment and her keen interest in complex restorations, crowns, bridges and dentures she brings 20 years of experience and a friendly and smiling vibe to our workplace.

Outside of work she enjoys travelling with her husband and 4 year old daughter, snowboarding, skiing and riding her new electric bike, where she can now beat everyone up the scenic Queenstown hills!

Any surgical or invasive procedure carries risks. Before proceeding, you should seek a second opinion from an appropriately qualified health practitioner.
Thank you for your ongoing support, we hope you are safe and well in this uncertain time.
This week we have our reception staff working from home with remote computer and phone access at Level 3. We will be able to respond to your voice message within 24 hours and we are starting to take bookings for an anticipated level 2 from Monday the 18th of May.
Existing bookings will be honoured and missed appointments will be prioritised according to urgency. This week for existing patients, we will be offering complimentary booked telephone consultations with your dentist for any concerns that cannot be answered by our friendly reception team. We understand that there may be a bottleneck for patient appointments once we descend into level 2 and want to assure you that we will be working hard for everyone to be triaged and seen in a timely manner.
Thank you again for the continued support, we all can’t wait to be back in the clinic properly to care for you again.
Please call 034422711 or email frankton.dental@xtra.co.nz to make a booking at level 2.
